Coval Metal Coat

Coval Metal Coat is a highly durable, industrial grade, heat resistant coating for the protection of all metal surfaces, painted or unpainted. It reduces wear, stains and corrosion, including: rust, salt spray, acid rain, UV damage, oxidation, and galvanic corrosion The nano/covalent technology, creates a molecular bond with surfaces usually only requiring one coat. Coval Metal Coat can be sprayed, rolled, brushed, or applied by dipping, and is fast drying. In most cases, only one coat is required.

Note:Unpainted iron or steel will requires 2 coats, wet on tack, 10-15 minutes apart.

Test: As with all Coval products, it is recommended to test for compatibility in a small area before full application.
Available in Clear Gloss or Satin, and a choice of 20 colored stains.

Application

Surfaces must be clean, dry and in sound condition. Remove all oil, dust, grease, dirt, loose rust and other foreign material; including all existing silicon sealers. Use Coval step#1 Cleaner for Unpainted surfaces or Coval step #1 Cleaner for Painted surfaces if the metal is painted. Hot rolled steel must have the slag removed by sandblasting or grinding off. Stir thoroughly before and during application to fully suspend nanoparticles. Mask off all areas not to be painted. This product may be applied in a variety of ways: HVLP sprayer with a 1.0-1.3 tip and set to approximately 25 PSI (recommended), or otherwise, by brush, roller or dipping. Clean-up immediately with acetone.

Note: All equipment must be chemical and acetone resistant.

Caution: A professional spray mask should be used with this product, as well as eye protection, rubber gloves, and coveralls.

Dry time All Coval Molecular Coatings are dry to the touch in 2-3 hours. Full cure 7 days.Note: It is important to protect surface from water or rain for at least 5 hours after application.
