Coval Concrete Coat

Coval Concrete Coat, is a highly durable sealer and protective coating for all concrete floors, walls, masonry, bricks, cement block, or ceramics; and is available in Satin or Gloss finishes. Concrete Coat protects surfaces from stains and chemical damage, providing a durable, peel, and flake resistant finish.

Application

Surfaces should be clean and free of all sealers, waxes or loss material. Clean with either: Coval Step #1 Cleaner for Painted Surfaces, or Coval Step #1 Cleaner for Unpainted Surfaces as applicable.

Mask off areas not to be covered. Porous unpainted surfaces can be pre-sealed with Coval Quick Seal & Enhance to improve final appearance and reduce costs. Painted surfaces should be sanded with 220 grit and cleaned with Coval Step #1 Cleaner for Painted Surfaces prior to application of Cement Coat.

Over unglazed ceramic or porcelain tile, mix 25% Quick seal & Enhance with 75% Concrete Coat and apply as normal.

Important: Protect against rain or humidity for 5 hours after application.

Caution: A professional spray mask should be used with this product, as well as eye protection, rubber gloves, and coveralls.

Important: Shake and stir fully, before and during application, to ensure complete suspension of nano-particles.

For best results apply with a pump-sprayer, (deck sprayer) that is chemical and acetone resistant. Cement Coat may also be applied with an ultra-smooth, high density, foam roller. Apply moderately – application thickness should be 2.5-3.5 WFT (do not allow puddling).

Clean-up immediately with acetone.
Dry in 2-5 hours. Safe to walk on: 5-8 hours. Full cure: 7 days.

Maintenance

Clean with a mop, using Coval Step #3 Safe Clean then rinse with water. For large commercial type floors, a floor machine may be used in “wash mode” with the Coval Step #3 Safe Clean as the cleaning agent. A soft, non-abrasive pad may be used to buff the floor for a shiny finish. Wax coating is not necessary.

In the event that the coating is damaged, and needs to be repaired: clean with Coval Step #1 Cleaner for Painted Surfaces, remove damaged material with 220 grit, remove dust, and re-coat with Concrete Coat.
